we bought this fridge in may and had it plugged in without the water connected and the ice maker set to off while we renovated our new place. we finally brought it inside and connected the water a few weeks ago and realized we didn’t have any ice after a few days, so we followed samsung’s troubleshooting guides. with no luck, i requested a repair and had to set up a phone call before a repair could be requested. i followed their additional steps and they said it’s possible the water filter was defective, which would not be covered under warranty because it’s an accessory, not a part of the fridge. so a brand new samsung filter in a brand new samsung fridge is not covered under warranty? makes no sense and seems extremely unfair that they expect us to pay $50 for a replacement already.

I have loved Samsung products. My new home had a new refrigerator (this one), dishwasher and stove. Unfortunately, if you have an issue their service is incredibly bad. The ice maker would not work correctly. Their service dept came out three times to repair it including replacing the door (on that trip the service man dropped the door and dented the front of my dishwasher which they refused to fix). Eventually I had to buy a different brand.

love the refrigerator, the design but the icemaker is not worth crap. crushed ice is not crushed it big chunks takes forever take ice.

Great Space but a few issues

i chose this fridge due to the space it held. i like the layout & space. having the ice maker built into the door saves space in the freezer. when i store milk gallons on the bottom shelf along the back wall, they will freeze. we chose the black stainless steel after having a hard time finding a plain black fridge. the black stainless steel is very pretty but sensitive. it definitely does show fingerprints, watermarks, etc & also scratches easily. we have only had it a little over two months and it already shows scuffs on the doors & we have no idea where they came from. it is a fragile finish & the scuffs show quite a bit on this surface. i like the space of the fridge, but if you are concerned about scuffs & external durability, definitely choose a different type of finish.

Fridge is great, icemaker needs improvement

we love the fridge. its huge. the icemaker just doesnt make enough ice. we got it in january not sure what we will do in the south in july. ive tried everything i could to get more ice. this is only drawback so far.
