I am having a hard time getting used to the new fe

My old refrigerator was 32 yrs. old and I am having trouble getting used to the new features. (ex. the shelves on the door are twice as big as my old one and the shelves inside are smaller. Not enough room for fresh vegetables and not enough room for fresh meats) but will get used to it.

Door swing design flaw

Our refrigerator was installed the recommended and scheduled professional. When the door is opened more than half way, it swings out resulting in jerking of the hinges. This is an annoyance because you wonder if the jerking will eventually effect the mechanics of the hinges. Less noticeable Is the swing open on the freezer side. The store we bought it from sent out a fixer. He couldn’t figure it out and told us to call Whirlpool. The customer service was excellent and they have a Whirlpool person coming to fix the problem in a couple of days. I went to Home Depot to test the swing on the side by sides and the swings were smooth and prevented jerking in full open. I’m hoping Whirlpool will correct the issue. Other than that, we are pleased with the refrigerator. I like the vegetable and fruit drawers. There is plenty of room. Note that the ice maker is a separate purchase which is about $100.00.
