if you receive a faulty (leaky) samsung water filter from their company: samsung says that they are not responsible; their parts department is. parts says that e-commerce department is responsible. samsung said to call e-commerce. e-commerce says they do not handle subscriptions; j & j does. j and j international says that they do not handle samsung parts or subscriptions and to call samsung. i have called over 10 numbers (with the menus and waiting that incurs) and every single number has cheerfully informed me that it is not the responsibility of their department . i am out $35 and will write reviews stating the above from now on. sadly, all of my kitchen appliances are from samsung, which i now see does not stand behind their products.

the water taste is weird

after installed this filter, the water taste is weird even i shed 3 buckets of water. i have ordered this product as an automatic purchase.

I used a water quality tester, TDS meter, got ~ 35 from Samsung filter compares to ~ 20 to my reverse osmosis filter within 5 filters drinking water system. I connected my drinking water line to Samsung frig., but can not get rid of Samsung water filter.

I see a number of negative reviews here which compelled me to assure those of you needing a new filter that my experience was totally positive regarding the ease of installation and the strong flow and clean taste of the water from the new filter. If I have one gripe it would be the cost (roughly $50), but I decided it was better to buy from the manufacturer rather than risk the off-brands which frankly confused me regarding the exact filter needed for this model refrigerator.
