I purchased this microwave to replace another hood style microwave that failed due to a broken handle. The Amana stood out for the clean, smooth design, nice features like one touch 30 second run, and defrost settings. My installation was very simple, the instructions and templates made the task quick and error-free.

Great Features other than light

Has a light toward bottom left rear that has a full or 1/2 light but basically useless for illumination, no more than a weak night light. My old Kenmore had a 23/24†fluorescent also towards rear but did a fabulous job illuminating oven top with dials at rear, as well provided adequate illumination at night when ceiling lights were off.
