This Whirlpool oven saved the day! Found out the hard way after purchasing a wall oven by a different manufacturer. As with most wall ovens manufactured today, the side of the door is designed as the outside edge of the oven. Because the oven is located adjacent to a wall, could not open door without hitting kitchen door molding and light switch. This Whirlpool model is designed with a rim along the side of the door which provides the additional space against an adjacent wall. Now, the door can be opened without hitting something. And it looks great!
