| Care Instructions | Installation and Care Instructions NOTICE: Review Frigidaire Refrigerator Use and Care Guide before installation and use of system. See fits models listing on Frigidaire.com. 1. Remove the current filter and discard. 2. Slide the new filter in with the grip oriented horizontally. 3. Push the filter firmly and turn 90° to the right until it snaps into place. The grip should now be oriented vertically. 4. Run water through the dispenser for approximately 3 minutes, or 1.5 gallons, to prime the filter before use. Discard the water. 5. Replace every 6 months or 125 gallons |

Do not use the subscribe function. Extremely difficult to cancel subscription. No easy option to do it online. Despite using the chat function 6 months ago to request cancellation I was charged again. It should not be this difficult to cancel a subscription for a water filter. If you can subscribe online you should be able to cancel easily on line. Terrible.

I have purchased these filters for 3 yrs now. My drinking water tastes ok. I have to change my filter every 2-3 months. I wish the water tasted better after paying almost $50 for a water filter.

Mysterious residue

I’m posting this review only to get answers that couldn’t be provided through the chat with us link. I’m due to order my third water filter but am hesitant to do so until someone can identify the mysterious non-dissolving, white, salt-like residue that appears at the bottom of cups filled with with refrigerator-filtered water. We do not have “hard†water or a water softener and the residue does not appear in cups filled directly from the faucet. This residue has been evident in both previous PureSource Ultra® II filters, thus my hesitancy to order a third filter.

Love the water filters but just installed a new one and it leaks. Had to put the old one back in. At $50 a pop I need to have it replaced.
