we bought this model because of the craft ice feature. this feature has been troublesome ice freezes over and the unit sometimes fails to work

For a counter depth refrigerator this refrigerator has so much more room due to a better design. The ice maker is in the door so the whole top shelf is open and available. The pockets on the doors are roomy and can hold many items. My husband and I laughed about the craft ice maker in addition to regular ice cubes but it turns out we use the craft ice all the time One problem: the ice maker in the door not the mechanism that makes the craft ice as that is separate quit after 4 months. Calling LG was easy and they sent out an LG repair person who had the new unit in the truck. It took the repair person about 7 minutes to take out the defective unit and put a new one in. Well see how long this one lasts. When it is working it has been great. There are no clumps.

Ive had the LG fridge for a few weeks and our family likes it. Features are easy to understand and use for all ages. Food stays organized and and at safe temps throughout the fridge and freezer
