Push to release current filter, remove and discard. 2. Slide the new filter into the housing and push until it locks in place. 3. As many users have stated, this filter does not last 6 months. We have purchased six filters in less than a year due to water flow reducing to an extremely low, unusable flow. I would not recommend this product to anyone as it is not cost effective.

Sometimes there is a defective one

Hi,I recently had some issues with my water filter (Pure Source3). It was very frustrating, and spent time trying to figure out the problem. I even had someone come out to check my line. It then mysteriously started working for a couple of weeks (even though not great). That was this April. I ended up using a filtered water pitcher since I had no other choice. I put in another Pure Source 3 (May) and both the ice and water are now working great. These filters are not cheap (even if you buy them from Amazon.For those of you that might be having issues, it could be a defective water filter (at least that is what I am calling it). I am just happy it is now working.

I have had my Frigidaire Sside-by-side for over ten years, Change the filter every six months or so and have never had a problem with them. Best Fridge I ever owned.

You would think ordering 3 filters, at least one would work…but similar to what others have posted, NONE of my 3 new ones would click in. They are the same model as I have ordered in past and are identical to the one I pulled out…but I will not go in all the way and click!?!

Poor longevity during normal use

It never fails, under normal use the replacement filters only last a couple of months before its time to buy another over priced filter. definitely considering buying another brand of refrigerator. Accepting terms and conditions under protest and reserve all my rights.
