New replacement for a Kitchenaid disposal we had installed when the house was built. The original was 16 years old and never had a problem. New unit is very quiet and works very quickly.

I've only been using this Disposer for a few weeks but so far it is working great. My mother recently bought a different brand and she has had trouble with the water not going down her sink. Plus the drain plug on hers has a rubber stopper where food can get trapped and smell. Mine is made differently and all is good! My old disposer actually was still working after 28 years of use so when I renovated my kitchen I bought another Kitchenaid disposer. Love it so far!

I installed this myself about a week ago when a new sink was installed. My prior disposal was 1 hp and also had sound insulation but this one seems a little quieter than the prior one. It works fine, no problem grinding waste, and reasonably quiet. So far, completely happy with this purchase.
