I installed this myself about a week ago when a new sink was installed. My prior disposal was 1 hp and also had sound insulation but this one seems a little quieter than the prior one. It works fine, no problem grinding waste, and reasonably quiet. So far, completely happy with this purchase.

Very happy with this product. We replaced a leaking unit that I considered to be quiet. This product is significantly quieter. The installation was simple and straight forward. It does what it was advertised to do and it does it quietly.
