It took me a while to realize the cooktop needs to be cleaned constantly. Bakes nicely, but it does not self-clean. You have to remove the racks & clean by hand. The little tray in the bottom almost cleans when you add water & set to “clean”. You still need to scrub it along with the entire interior. The salesman said this was its best feature because it took less than an hour & didn’t need the high temperatures. So disappointed!

My wife "Anita" loves it, I don't cook. She always wanted a true convection oven & she really likes it. It is a truly nice addition to her kitchen. She shows it to every visitor that come by & brags how it cooks so much faster & more evenly than any other stove she has ever had.

I switched from gas to electric because my propane gas stove never performed like I needed it to. I was apprehensive to switch to a glass stove top based on my concerns about cleaning, scratches and stove top breakage. What I love: I was pleasantly surprised. The stove checks off all of the features I was looking for (Convection, easy to clean, huge oven capacity, power preheat, stove top element sizes, aqualift self cleaning technology (no more fumes) and overall good looks. In all fairness, I did not use the self clean feature yet, but I'm expecting that I'll be satisfied. Unexpected bonus: Home Canning can be performed on a glass smooth top cooking surface according to page 8 of my electric range user instructions book. What I hate: The stove drawer is extremely disappointing, or better described as CHEAP. I can't remove the drawer to clean under the stove. The drawer is tinny and has NO handle. Maytag, why did you cut costs on the drawer? You almost scored a 10. Very disappointing.
