I bought the SS version of this in November 2022 by January 2023 it already needed a new keypad and by May 2023 the unit had stopped working entirely. Customer service is beyond atrocious taking 30-40 minutes to essentially achieve nothing. Avoid at all costs.

Infrequent loss of heating power

We bought this microwave around August of 2022. A few months in We experienced a loss of heating Timer still ran fans ran..... Not sure what was going on I pulled power then plugged it back in a fairly common solution to programming style errors. the Microwave worked fine after that a few months later this occured again did pretty much the same but did notice that the right side of the microwave was much hotter than normal not hot enough to cause a fire but hot enough to be uncomfortable if your held is placed on the side for a few seconds. Resetting power again resolved the issue. about a month ago this occured again this time power cycling did not resolve the issue so in the car it goes for a trip to the appliance stores service department. The appliance store big blue box advised me that they do not perform factory warranty repair So I would have to contact LG service directly. When we got back home I plugged the Microwave back in and its currently working but I still called LG since the Microwave is clearly experiencing intermittent failures while still under warranty. I gave LG notice as regards to the best time to call when I would be at thome by the microwave and of course got called while I was at work I work as an electronics instrument maker at a major nuclear research facility so I dont need to be told to check that its plugged in or make sure the power level is set to 100. I got the usual telephone tech support troubleshooting tree responses and confirmed that I had already checked all of those obvious fixes. I then asked the tech to have a tech call me when I was home and gave the tech my time and phone #. That same tech called back several hours later and advised me that he would be off-duty prior to my getting home and advised me to call them back to talk to another tech when I was home. Their tech support/service is an abysmal failurte and is why I will NEVER purchase another LG appliance

A couple of months after buying the oven we noticed issues. Every now and then we click start and the oven doesnt start. The timer counts down but its not cooking. I filed a warranty claim on the issue. I received an electronic response with a video explaining sensor cooking which had nothing to do with my issue. I was asked if this resolved my issue. Within 48 hours I got a response that we assume the issue is resolved as you havent responded. I will resubmit my claim this weekend as I still have the issue.
