it is taking so me getting used to...

I had a Caldera cook top that I loved, but when the computer started doing its own thing (after about 10 years) I found that the company was no longer around. My desired features were “touch controls†and a timer. The KitchenAid almost fit in my existing cut-out and I have always liked the brand. However, after a month I am still having trouble with 2 things—trying to control the burners getting too hot and cleanup. I am finding it harder to clean up spills in this cooktop than my previous one.

We built a new house and used KitchenAid for most of the kitchen. This cooktop looks great however, we found the cooktop more difficult to clean than our last KitchenAid cooktop. Also, we had an issue with the lock feature, we had the lock on and a burner started up without any indication fortunately no damage. We have this issue being addressed by KitchenAid.
